Cartel War Raging at Texas Border: 14 Dead

For three days warring factions of the Gulf Cartel have turned a number of cities just south of the Texas border into a warzone that has left at least 14 gunmen dead with the true number of casualties remaining unknown.

The fighting comes after what seemed to have been a short period of peace. Members of the Gulf Cartel have once again taken up arms against each other as they fight for control of the criminal organization. Most of the battles are taking place within miles of the Texas border.

The recent fighting left the residents of the Mexican border cities of Matamoros and Reynosa on edge as large convoys of cartel gunmen raced down the city’s avenues to set up blockades on the main entrances into the respective cities. Over three days the blockades have sporadically exploded into fierce rolling gun battles with convoys of gunmen raining gunfire and explosives on their rivals.

The fighting has been so intense that both the U.S. Consulate in Matamoros and that city’s Mayor Leticia Salazar issued warnings to the public giving some of the locations of the fighting and advising residents to stay indoors.

A Tamaulipas law enforcement official who spoke with Breitbart Texas, but asked to remain anonymous, said the fighting has been primarily along two factions of the Gulf Cartel which are made up of a series of intricate alliances, but can be simplified into the Reynosa and Rio Bravo faction and the Matamoros faction.

The main conflict appears to be between a man named Juan “98” Carrizalez, who along with his second in command, Luis Alberto “El Pelochas” Blanco Flores, leads one of the factions in Rio Bravo versus Angel “Orejon” Prado Rodriguez, who leads the Matamoros faction called the Ciclones, formerly los Escorpiones. Since the Rio Bravo faction has a strong alliance with the Reynosa faction, its enforcement wing, Los Metros, have joined the charge against los Ciclones, the official said.

When the fighting began, the two groups had some clashes in the outskirts of the border cities of Matamoros, Valle Hermoso, Reynosa and Rio Bravo and have continued sporadically with the most intense fighting taking place on Tuesday. While the two warring factions from the Gulf Cartel had multiple shootouts throughout the day, authorities have not provided a complete number of casualties. The Tamaulipas government confirmed to Breitbart Texas that on that day authorities killed 8 gunmen during the clashes and recovered the body of another gunman that had been killed by his rivals.

Sharia Law: Islamic Tribunal Operates In Texas

An Islamic Tribunal using Sharia law in Texas has been confirmed by Breitbart Texas. The tribunal is operating as a non-profit organization in Dallas. One of the attorneys for the tribunal said participation and acceptance of the tribunal’s decisions are “voluntary.”

Breitbart Texas spoke with one of the “judges,” Dr. Taher El-badawi. He said the tribunal operates under Sharia law as a form of “non-binding dispute resolution.” El-badawi said their organization is “a tribunal, not arbitration.” A tribunal is defined by Meriam-Webster’s Dictionary as “a court or forum of justice.” The four Islamic attorneys call themselves “judges” not “arbitrators.”

El-badawi said the tribunal follows Sharia law to resolve civil disputes in family and business matters. He said they also resolve workplace disputes.

In matters of divorce, El-badawi said that “while participation in the tribunal is voluntary, a married couple cannot be considered divorced by the Islamic community unless it is granted by the tribunal.” He compared their divorce, known as “Talaq,” as something similar to the Catholic practice of annulment in that the church does not recognize civil divorce proceedings as ending a marriage….

The [Tribunal’s] website lists four “judges:” Imam Yusuf Z.Kavakci, Imam Moujahed Bakhach, Imam Zia ul Haque Sheikh and Dr. El-badawi. It states the Islamic Tribunal resolves business disputes, divorce (Talaq) cases, community problems, serious family problems, and Khula.

El-badawi restated several times that participation in the tribunal is voluntary. However, he would not discuss what happens to someone who did not follow their rulings.

Drug Cartel Places $45 Million Bounty on Rick Perry’s Head

A Mexican drug cartel reportedly placed a $45 million bounty on Texas Gov. Rick Perry, prompting heavy security around the governor, a political insider said.

The insider, who is deep within Republican politics, said an unusual number of black-clad, heavily armed state troopers are escorting Perry to speeches and other public events, such as a recent dinner in South Carolina.

“My state representative was just at a dinner honoring Gov. Perry and observed an unusual amount of security, so [he] asked around and found Perry has a $45 million bounty on his head from [a] Mexican cartel,” he said. “They have been trying to keep it quiet for obvious reasons, but the security is humongous.”

When reached for comment, Perry’s press secretary, Lucy Nashed, confirmed the dinner but referred security questions to the Texas Department of Public Safety, which when contacted refused to give “specifics.”

Cartels placed several multi-million dollar bounties on Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio over the past several years and they also routinely set bounties on Border Patrol agents ranging from $250,000 to $2 million.

Perry previously called the cartels and drug gangs “narco-terrorists” in a 2011 speech.

“What we are seeing south of our border is nothing short of a war being waged by these narco-terrorists,” Perry told the audience. “They represent a clear and a present danger.”

In response, he spearheaded a rapid deployment of state law enforcement agencies to the border, which filled the gaps left by the Border Patrol after the White House ordered the agency to stand down from enforcing immigration and trafficking laws.

“Most Wanted” Terrorist Crosses US Border Repeatedly

An Al Qaeda terrorist on the FBI’s most wanted list for years crossed back and forth into the United States from Mexico to meet fellow militant Islamists in Texas and piloted an aircraft into the Cielo Dorado airfield in Anthony, New Mexico, law enforcement sources tell Judicial Watch.

The same Al Qaeda operative helped plan the 2009 bombing of talk-show superstar Oprah Winfrey’s Chicago studios and the iconic Sears Tower (renamed Willis Tower), a story that Judicial Watch broke just last week. His name is Adnan G. El Shukrijumah (also known as “Javier Robles”) and over the weekend he was killed in Pakistan, according to military officials in the Islamic republic.

In 2010 Shukrijumah was indicted in the Eastern District of New York for his role in a terrorist plot to attack targets in the United States—including New York City’s subway system—and the United Kingdom, according the FBI. The plot against New York City’s subway system was directed by senior Al Qaeda leadership in Pakistan, the FBI says, and was also directly related to a scheme by Al Qaeda plotters in Pakistan to use Western operatives to attack a target in the United States.

A year earlier Shukrijumah helped plan a terrorist truck-bomb plot targeting Winfrey’s Harpo Studios and the Sears Tower. Two of his fellow conspirators—Emad Karakrah and Hector Pedroza Huerta—were recently arrested for unrelated state crimes in different parts of the country. Karakrah is in Cook County, Illinois Jail on charges of making a false car bomb threat after leading police on a high-speed chase through Chicago with an ISIS flag waving from his car in August. Huerta, an illegal alien twice convicted for driving intoxicated, is in the El Paso County Jail and is scheduled to be sentenced later this month.

The men form part of a sophisticated narco-terror ring, exposed by JW in October, with connections running from El Paso to Chicago to New York City. It includes an all-star lineup of logistics and transportation operatives for militant Islamists in the United State, drug and weapons smugglers for the Juarez drug cartel in Mexico, an FBI confidential informant gone rogue and two of the FBI’s most wanted terrorists. Shukrijumah is one of them.

Despite being one of the FBI’s most wanted terrorists, Shukrijumah for years managed to slip in and out of the U.S. through the southern border to meet fellow militant Islamists—including Karakrah and Huerta—in the El Paso region, JW’s law enforcement sources confirm. In fact, in March the most wanted terrorist piloted a private aircraft from Mexico into the airfield at Cielo Dorado in Anthony New Mexico, according to JW’s high-level government sources.

Texas leads coalition of states in lawsuit against Obama’s immigration action

Texas Gov.-elect Greg Abbott announced Wednesday that Texas is leading a 17-state coalition suing the Obama administration over the president’s executive actions on immigration.

The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Texas on Wednesday, and names the heads of the top immigration enforcement agencies as defendants.

Abbott, in a news conference in Austin, said the “broken” immigration system should be fixed by Congress, not by “presidential fiat.”

He said President Obama’s recently announced executive actions — a move designed to spare as many as 5 million people living illegally in the United States from deportation — “directly violate the fundamental promise to the American people” by running afoul of the Constitution.

“The ability of the president to dispense with laws was specifically considered and unanimously rejected at the Constitutional Convention,” he said.

Abbott specifically cited Article 2, Section 3 of the Constitution which states the president “shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”

He said the lawsuit asks the court to require Obama to go through Congress before enforcing laws, “rather than making them up himself.”

However, a White House official defended the actions as perfectly within the president’s authority.

U.S. Civil Rights Commissioner Sent Tough Letter to Houston Mayor Regarding Sermon Subpoena

By Billy Hallowell – TheBlaze.com –

The battle over subpoenas issued by the city of Houston for pastors’ speeches and other communications has taken yet another turn, with a member of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights penning a letter to Mayor Annise Parker, lambasting the information request.

Commissioner Peter Kirsanow, who opened his letter by noting that he was writing on his own accord and not on behalf of the entire commission, warned that the city’s pastoral requests “threaten to have a chilling effect on religious and political speech that is protected by the First Amendment.”

“Although non-parties to a lawsuit can be required to provide information that is reasonably likely to be relevant and admissible, these subpoenas are plainly overbroad,” Kirsanow wrote.

He continued, “A subpoena that requires a pastor to turn over an e-mail to his neighbor about the details of the Equal Rights Ordinance, or a draft book chapter on the Bible and homosexuality that discusses the Equal Rights Ordinance, is clearly overbroad. “

Kirsanow continued by claiming that no government institution should require private citizens to turn over personal communications that relate to important issues of the day, noting that pastors are private citizens with free-speech like anyone else.

The commissioner also noted that the subject matter — mainly homosexuality — is tricky, as the pastors’ views on the issue and the equal rights ordnance at the center of the debate are likely shaped by their religious perspective.

“Given that the recipients of these subpoenas are pastors, it is almost inevitable that their views on homosexuality and gender identity are informed by their faith, if not almost entirely rooted in their faith,” he continued. “Indeed, the views of many people on homosexuality and gender identity are rooted in their ultimate commitments.”

He also charged that the “discovery request impermissibly probes the religious beliefs of private citizens simply because they supported a political effort.”

Kirsanow concluded that the request is an “abuse of government power” and that it appears to punish pastors for sharing political views that are predicated upon their faith.

City of Houston Demands Pastors Turn Over Sermons

By Todd Starnes – Tea Party Patriot News –

The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.

“The city’s subpoena of sermons and other pastoral communications is both needless and unprecedented,” Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Christina Holcomb said in a statement. “The city council and its attorneys are engaging in an inquisition designed to stifle any critique of its actions.”

ADF, a nationally-known law firm specializing in religious liberty cases, is representing five Houston pastors. They filed a motion in Harris County court to stop the subpoenas arguing they are “overbroad, unduly burdensome, harassing, and vexatious.”

“Political and social commentary is not a crime,” Holcomb said. “It is protected by the First Amendment.”….

Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council, said pastors around the nation should rally around the Houston ministers.

“The state is breaching the wall of separation between church and state,” Perkins told me. ‘Pastors need to step forward and challenge this across the country. I’d like to see literally thousands of pastors after they read this story begin to challenge government authorities – to dare them to come into their churches and demand their sermons.”

….The pastors I(Starnes)spoke to tell me they will not comply with the subpoena – putting them at risk for a “fine or confinement, or both.”

Heaven forbid that should happen. But if it does, Christians across America should be willing to descend en masse upon Houston and join these brave men of God behind bars.

Pastor Welch compared the culture war skirmish to the 1836 Battle of San Jacinto, fought in present-day Harris County, Texas. It was a decisive battle of the Texas Revolution….

Local Governments Prohibiting “Off-the-Grid” Living in Florida

From IndieGoGo.com –

Currently, statutes and ordinances make it illegal to disconnect a Florida home from local utilities. Last year, those laws were used to jail Cape Coral, Florida resident Robin Speronis for five weeks, including two weeks in solitary confinement. Her crimes? Collecting rainwater and using solar power to meet her daily utilities needs. Speronis’ story has made international headlines.

We are funding a grassroots ballot initiative to help Florida voters amend their state’s constitution during the Fall 2016 elections…. Contributions will be used to collect the tens of thousands of signatures required to place our amendment on the 2016 ballot. In addition, we will hire attorneys to prepare for mandatory legal proceedings before the Florida Supreme Court. Contribute to this campaign if you agree that individuals should have the right to select reasonable alternatives to monopolized local utilities services.

You may think such bullying could never occur where you live. Unfortunately, it probably already has. Last year in Texas, for example, S.W.A.T. teams were deployed to the peaceful Garden of Eden Community as a Gestapo-style intimidation tactic. Officers arrested only one individual, based on unrelated traffic tickets, and issued a handful of citations for city code infractions. Officials found absolutely no drug-related violations, and all inhabitants of the community were unarmed.

Each of the community members present in the group’s house were initially handcuffed at gunpoint by heavily armed S.W.A.T. officers. This included the mother of a toddler and a two-week old baby. As part of the raid, many of the community’s edible crops were destroyed. Officers removed a variety of materials the community had planned to use in sustainability projects.

Garden of Eden is a sustainable community which lives outside of the confines of the ‘average lifestyle.’ The community believes in coming together to produce the basic necessities of life, and members support one another through each step. They grow their own food and live quietly. Since 2009, the group has been providing food, shelter and sustainability education classes to the public for free.

Ten ISIS Terrorists Captured At Texas-Mexico Border

By Mac Slavo – SHTFPlan.com –

Representative Duncan Hunter (R-CA) recently claimed that a high-level Department of Homeland Security official informed him of the capture of at least ten Islamic State terrorists on the Texas-Mexico border. A DHS spokesperson speaking with the New Republic unequivocally denied the Congressman’s claims:

“The suggestion that individuals who have ties to ISIL have been apprehended at the Southwest border is categorically false, and not supported by any credible intelligence or the facts on the ground,” said DHS spokesperson Marsha Catron.

“DHS continues to have no credible intelligence to suggest terrorist organizations are actively plotting to cross the southwest border.”

But even the Islamic State has said they want to launch attacks directly on American soil and in recent weeks IS public relations arms on social media have urged followers to identify U.S. soldiers, track down their addresses and kill them and their families. Some reports of DHS chatter even suggest that America’s worst fears of a biological attack could be realized if IS militants infect themselves with Ebola or another deadly virus and deliver it to America in live hosts via the southern border.

And while Homeland Security has brushed off such threats and warnings as not credible, the border patrol agents being faced with thousands of undocumented immigrants attempting to cross into the United States daily have a completely different story to tell.

According to one agent who has chosen to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal, not only are they seeing scores of disease-ridden individuals being brought into the country, there is a real and present danger that members of terror organizations have already crossed into the United States.

Homeland Security and Obama Administration officials may categorically deny the claims, but this agent insists terrorist organizations are operating in Mexico and he says that he is aware of at least four Islamic State insurgents that have already been detained by the government:

Do these ten pieces of evidence prove the U.S. government is actively encouraging an Ebola outbreak in America?

From NaturalNews –

Here are the top ten pieces of evidence that point to the U.S. government seemingly wanting to see Ebola spread even more. Because, just as Dr. Mobley says, if all this isn’t intentional, then it’s a showcase of extreme incompetence on the part of government:

#1) Obama refuses to halt air travelers from infected countries from entering the United States

#2) Texas family is quarantined in a home that still hasn’t been cleaned or decontaminated –
Cleaning of contaminated apartment delayed by government demand for a “permit”

#3) The CDC continues to lie about modes of transmission for the Ebola virus

#4) The FDA is openly threatening sellers of natural remedies that might be useful for slowing or stopping Ebola

Scottish Independence: What Would Braveheart Do?

By Patrick J. Buchanan – VDare.com –

No matter how the vote turns out on Thursday in Scotland, either for independence or continued union with Britain, the disintegration of the Old Continent appears almost inevitable.

Already the British government has conceded that, even if the Scots vote for union, Edinburgh will receive greater powers to rule itself.

Cheering for the breakup of the U.K. are Catalans and Basques, Bretons and Corsicans, Tyroleans, Venetians, Flemish, all dreaming of nations of their own carved out of Spain, France, Italy and Belgium.

Europe’s secessionists have waxed ever stronger since the last decade of the 20th century when the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia splintered into 22 nations and Czechoslovakia broke in two.
