Arizona House Committee Passes Measure to Effectively Nullify EPA Rules

Today, an Arizona state House Committee approved a measure that would require the state to block unilateral EPA agency rules over “nonnavigable intrastate waters or waterways,” an action that would make them nearly impossible to enforce.

Introduced by Rep. Brenda Barton (R-Payson), House Concurrent Resolution 2037 (HCR2037) directly challenges and would effectively nullify in practice new rules over in-state waters issued unilaterally in 2014 by the EPA. Citing new authority in the state constitution passed by voters under Prop 122 last fall, the legislation would withdraw critical state enforcement and material support for enforcing such rules. It passed the House Rules committee today by a vote of 5-2.

If approved by the legislature, HCR2037 would bypass the Governor’s desk and go to a vote of the People. It reads, in part:

Section 1. A. To preserve the checks and balances of the constitution of the united states, this state hereby exercises its sovereign authority:

1. To prohibit any federal agency or official from enforcing any federal regulation that purports to regulate nonnavigable, intrastate waters or waterways within the boundaries of this state unless that regulation is clearly and manifestly authorized by an act of congress.

2. To prohibit this state, its agencies and all of its political subdivisions from using any personnel or resources to enforce, administer or cooperate with any federal action or program that purports to regulate nonnavigable, intrastate waters or waterways unless a showing is first made in the courts of this state without deference to any administrative determination and based on clear and convincing evidence that such regulation is absolutely necessary to the exercise of powers expressly delegated to the federal government by the constitution of the united states.

The issue at hand is that the EPA and the United States Army Corps of Engineers lack the authority to enforce proposed rules published in the Federal Register titled “Definition of ‘Waters of the United States’ under the Clean Water Act (CWA).

According to the Federal Register, the proposal would involve the following:

The agencies propose to define ‘‘waters of the United States’’ in section (a) of the proposed rule for all sections of the CWA to mean: Traditional navigable waters; interstate waters, including interstate wetlands; the territorial seas; impoundments of traditional navigable waters, interstate waters, including interstate wetlands, the territorial seas, and tributaries, as defined, of such waters; tributaries, as defined, of traditional navigable waters, interstate waters,1 or the territorial seas; and adjacent waters, including adjacent wetlands. Waters in these categories would be jurisdictional ‘‘waters of the United States’’ by rule—no additional analysis would be required.

While interstate waters appear to be a target of the proposed rule, another section was written so broadly that virtually all waters will be under its reach:

In addition, the agencies propose that “other waters” (those not fitting in any of the above categories) could be determined to be “waters of the United States” through a case-specific showing that, either alone or in combination with similarly situated “other waters” in the region, they have a “significant nexus” to a traditional navigable water, interstate water, or the territorial seas. The proposed rule also offers a definition of significant nexus and explains how similarly situated “other waters” in the region should be identified.

Should the legislature and People of Arizona pass HCR2037, any attempt by the EPA to establish authority over nonnavigable intrastate waters will be met with resistance and an effort to block such moves.

In addition, passage would ensure that the state doesn’t use any resources to assist the federal government in such activities. As approved by Arizona voters in Nov. 2014, Prop 122 is now part of the state constitution creating a mechanism to withdraw all state support for federal programs outside the scope of the constitution….

Reason Why Americans Will Not Fight Back Against the NWO

“The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing” – Edmund Burke –

Our Congress has an all-time low 9% approval rating, and Obama’s overall popularity is in the toilet. It has been 12 years since I declared war upon the central bankers when they tried to steal my property and that of 300 of my neighbors without one dime being paid in compensation. In that time, I have watched and written about how 13 million homes have been illegally stolen by the MERS mortgage fraud. In Congressional hearings, we have all seen how the IRS harasses and intimidates thousands of enemies of Obama (i.e. the Tea Party) as well as AP reporters who do not report the news in a manner pleasing to the President. The American people have permitted the passage of the NDAA which allows government the right to secretly arrest people without due process of law and hold them indefinitely. We barely notice as Obama declared himself to be “King” as he passed Executive Order 13603 in which he can take everything you own as well as your freedom at the mere whim of this President. In today’s militarized society, people have an 8 times greater chance of mistakenly being killed by their local police than being killed by a terrorist and on and on it goes as nobody does anything about it.

Even most of the awake act like sheep.

I have watched millions of our fellow countrymen show evidence that they are in various stages of waking up to the bankster inspired tyranny that is attacking every facet of our lives. The Independent Media has done a marvelous job of reaching the masses despite being ridiculed and shut out of the mainstream media. The Independent Media is being so effective that Congress has attempted, on several occasions, to declare us to “not be journalists” (e.g. courtesy of Dianne Feinstein and John McCain) in several bills that have narrowly failed in Congress.

It is my considered opinion that we have awakened enough people who are collectively capable of making substantial and fundamental differences. This begs the obvious question, then why don’t we see a massive uprising against the central bankers and their institutions of control? There is no simple answer which will explain all the fence-sitting we are witnessing in the country today. However, there is one social-psychological factor which explains why the majority of the people who are awake to the present level of tyranny are not sufficiently motivated to act and that factor is called bystander apathy….

Bystander Apathy is synonymous with national suicide.

I spoke on the phone with researcher, Deborah Tavares a few nights ago and she informed me that people are already being disappeared off the street, presumably under the NDAA. People are being incarcerated and forcibly medicated against their will. Yet, beyond a few people such as Deborah Tavares, nobody is saying anything about this phenomenon. Deborah will be my guest on my radio show on March 1, 2015 from 9-11pm Central.

One year ago today on February 22, 2014, I revealed the existence of a classified Army document which has been leaked online, entitled FM 3-39.40 Internment and Resettlement Operations (PDF). The document was originally to be kept secret, but everyone in the military command structure, as far as we know, is not on board with the encroaching tyranny sweeping across this country. Yet, one year later, nobody has done anything about this threat to American civil liberties….

The Real “Old-Time Religion”

People in the South who are intuitively attuned to its culture and history suspect that what passes for popular, evangelical religion in the region is not precisely what it has been in the past. Besides the fact that the South, like other parts of the country, is slowly giving in to the forces of secularism, those states from Maryland to Texas, and halfway up the Mississippi Valley, exhibit a kind of religion that is less distinguishable now, than earlier in their history, from New York, Minnesota, and California. The Crystal Cathedral in Anaheim, California, might just as well be in Atlanta. And the seeker-sensitive Willow Creek Community Church will find its imitators in Oklahoma City, Dallas, and New Orleans. The fundamentalist-liberal rift that once plagued Northern mainline Protestantism, now has its mirror image all across the South, especially in the Southern Baptist Convention.

In order to understand what has changed in the South, it is necessary to have clearly in view the kinds of disorders that the religious communities of the South, whether consciously and intentionally or unconsciously and intuitively, resisted. What they rejected at almost every significant point were three movements that had considerable impact in other parts of the country, and especially in the Northeast. These were (1) fundamentalism, (2) Puritanism, and (3) vulgar pantheism. All three of these have enjoyed some success in the United States, but until recently none of them have been favorably received in the South. That is not to say that they did not exist in the South: for each represents a kind of permanent temptation for all people everywhere. But each of them also represents something to which some cultures have developed a degree of resistance. The South has historically been somewhat resistant to the first, more resistant to the second, and until relatively recently almost untouched by the third….

It is worth mentioning that the very fact of the South’s brutal experience of war, and its humiliating defeat, played a part in that section’s resistance of a religious error that has otherwise seemed endemic to the United States. It is the same error to which ancient Israel was so prone: the belief that right religion would always triumph, and defeat is a sign of divine disfavor. This error belongs to the adolescence of religion, but not to its maturity, as the prophets Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, were to teach their people.

Southerners also had to deal with their own defeat and ruin, as well as with the eventual recognition of their own sins—even while the virtues of their oppressors were exaggerated and their sins ignored. Nevertheless, certain virtues can only come prominently into play under conditions that are mostly foreign to the bourgeois comforts of twentieth century America. Flannery O’Conner worried that Southerners were losing this sense of difference and alienation that has something in common with the very idea of holiness. She said once, “The Anguish that most of us have observed for some time now has been caused not by the fact that the South is alienated from the rest of the country, but by the fact that it is not alienated enough, that everyday we are getting more and more like the rest of the country, that we are being forced out, not only of our many sins but of our few virtues.”

Student Debt Strike is Finally Happening!

The “Corinthian 15” have fired the opening salvo in a nationwide movement to strike student debt.

A group of courageous students, caught in the cruelest of debt traps, has decided they are done waiting for relief that will never come. Enough is enough. Today, the Corinthian 15 are going on debt strike.

Scammed from first to last by one of America’s most unscrupulous for-profit colleges and denied a rightful debt discharge by the Department of Education, they are saying “We Owe You Nothing.” In a gesture of solidarity with the strikers, the Rolling Jubilee has announced that it has erased more than $13 million of student debt owed by students of Everest College, a subsidiary of Corinthian….

Although the Corinthian 15 are fighting against some of the worst creditors in our predatory system, they are taking a stand for everyone who finds themselves saddled with decades of education debt. For-profits are only the most exploitative part of America’s debt-financed higher education system–public and private universities are little better. While the crushing burden of debt affects most students, those with the least resources are paying the highest price….

Student loan debt has tripled over the last decade, turning higher education into a pathway to poverty for all but the well-heeled. Everyone knows that huge chunks of U.S. student debt–more than $1.3 trillion and growing–cannot and never will be repaid. But, though nearly half of outstanding student debt is effectively in default or other forms of nonpayment, default on an individual basis is not leading to change; it is only causing misery, depression, and worse. Joining together to refuse repayment publicly and collectively is the only way to end the injustice of debt-financed education. The Corinthian 15 are the first to stand up and take collective action.

A strike is typically a last resort, when all other alternatives are exhausted. The Corinthian 15 certainly see it that way. State attorneys general, like California’s Kamala Harris, legislators, like Elizabeth Warren and Maxine Waters, and even government agencies, like the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, have all tried to secure justice for them. But the Department of Education has not listened. Instead of protecting the students, it has bailed out the college’s investors, acting like a debt collector for a predatory lender. The Corinthian 15 have concluded they have no other alternative….

Protection from smart meters

Over the last decade, millions of homes worldwide have been outfitted with smart meters. Power utility companies continue to force smart meters upon the population under the argument that they allow a more accurate and concise measurement of home energy usage, and give the resident and utility provider more visibility of and control over power consumption. Yet, concerns continue to grow about the potential dangers from the electro-magnetic radiation given off by these devices.

The US Federal Communications Commission and the World Health Organization (WHO) claim that the broadcasting frequencies emitted by smart meters are safe to humans, even though in May of 2011, the WHO officially recognized that wireless radiation such as that emitted by smart meters is possibly carcinogenic. So, according to the WHO, smart meters are safe, except that they may cause cancer – a questionable contradiction.

Hundreds of independent scientific studies have shown that smart meters create a vast and clear health hazard, in addition to emitting carcinogenic radiation; and many people living around smart meters have reported insomnia, rashes, headaches, disorientation, neuropathy, sinus issues, thyroid problems, hyperactivity, and other illnesses after the installation of a smart meter. There have also been many instances of smart meters catching fire and destroying homes.

Smart meters emit high-frequency RF radiation 24/7, from 250mWatts to 2.0Watts. At times, the radiation from a smart meter can be up to 160 times the radiation of a cell phone. Unlike your other wireless devices, you have no control over when the device is on and when it is turned off. In some multi-unit homes and apartment buildings, roomfuls of smart meters emit radiation that could be quite dangerous.

Most people aren’t given an option regarding whether they can keep an old meter or have a smart meter installed. Even if a choice is given, it can be costly, and a monthly fee is often associated with having an old meter. Nevertheless, up to now power companies supported by government have made it appear that it is mandatory to switch to a smart meter. They tout the benefits and don’t discuss the potential health risks. Once a resident discovers that their body reacts negatively to the continuous radiation emitted by a smart meter, it is often too late, or very costly, to remove it.

An alternative for many people, thus, will be to protect themselves by shielding the smart meter and reducing its excessive and harmful radiation. The solutions below are examples of what you can do to reduce smart meter radiation output, while still allowing the meter to communicate energy usage with the utility company.

Below are two videos from Smart Meter Guard demonstrating their wire-mesh, stainless steel Faraday cage that completely covers the smart meter, resulting in a 98% reduction in radiation. This product is a bit costly, at about $130, but it requires no assembly, is very simple to install and is said to fit any brand of smart meter in the US or Canada.

Find out more about smart meter harm at TakeBackYourPower.net and StopSmartMeters.org. If you still don’t have a smart meter on your home and prefer to keep it that way, you can purchase all types of labels and signs to make your choice known from RefuseSmartMeters.com.

Imperialism and the Politics of Torture

The Senate Report’s revelations of CIA torture of suspects following the 9/11 bombing is only the tip of the iceberg. The Report omits the history and wider scope of violent activity in which the CIA has been and continues to be involved. CIA organized large scale death squad activities and extreme torture in Vietnam (Phoenix Project); multiple assassinations of political leaders in the Congo, Chile, Dominican Republic, Vietnam, the Middle East, Central America and elsewhere; the kidnapping and disappearance of suspected activists in Iraq and Afghanistan; massive drug-running and narco-trafficking in the “Golden Triangle” in Southeast Asia and Central America (the Iran-Contra war).

The Senate Report fails to locate the current acts of CIA terror and torture in a broader historical context – one which would reveal the systematic use of torture and violence as a ‘normal’ instrument of policy. Contrary to White House and Senate claims that torture was a “policy error” committed by “incompetent” (or deranged) operatives, the historical record demonstrates that the long term extensive and intensive use by the CIA of torture, assassinations, kidnappings are planned and deliberate policies made by highly qualified, and experienced policymakers acting according to a global strategy approved by both Executive and Congressional leaders.

The Report treats torture as a “localized” set of events, divorced from the politics of empire building. In point of fact, torture is and always has been an integral part of imperial wars, colonial military occupations and counter-insurgency warfare.

Imperial wars and occupations provoke widespread opposition and nearly unanimous hostility. ‘Policing’ the occupied country cannot rely on community-wide support, least of all providing voluntary ‘intelligence’ to the imperial officials. The imperial armed forces operate out of fortresses surrounded by a sea of hostile faces. Bribes and persuasion of local collaborators provides limited information, especially regarding the operations of underground resistance movements and clandestine activists. Family, neighborhood, religious, ethnic and class ties provide protective support networks. To break this web of voluntary support network, the colonial powers resort to torture of suspects, family members and others. Torture becomes “routinized” as part and parcel of policies sustaining the imperial occupation. Extended occupation and intensive destruction of habitation and employment, cannot be compensated by imperial “aid” – much of which is stolen by the local collaborators. The latter, in turn, are ostracized by the local population, and, therefore, useless as a source of information. The “carrot” for a few collaborators is matched by torture and the threat of torture for the many in opposition.

Torture is not publicized domestically even as it is ‘understood’ by ‘knowing’ Congressional committees. But among the colonized, occupied people, through word and experience, CIA and military torture and violence against suspects, seized in neighborhood round-ups, is a weapon to intimidate a hostile population. The torture of a family member spreads fear (and loathing) among relatives, acquaintances, neighbors and colleagues. Torture is an integral element in spreading mass intimidation – an attempt to minimize co-operation between an active minority of resistance fighters and a majority of passive sympathizers.

HOW YOU CAN FIND FREEDOM FROM THE MATRIX

Whether you acknowledge it or not, your consciousness is plugged into the Matrix and the “Hive Mind.” You believe that your life is hopeless and that you are powerless to change things in your life and world. But what is your world? Your thoughts, dreams, beliefs, and identity are largely manufactured by a global media grid operated by a “World Brain,” with a computer-brain interface. What you believe is the “real you” is a synergy of social media and often subliminal messages projected into your consciousness 24/7 by a multi-dimensional broadband spectrum of images, words, music, EMF waves, and a neurological fountain of brain chemicals strategically triggered by GMO foods and their myriad chemical additives and by chemicals added to your drinking water and air.

From your very infancy to the present you are the product of stealth social engineering which has artificially suppressed your “right brain,” which has the power to enable you to see the big picture. Just like the tiny offices that many people work in, your brain and your ability to think have been artificially reduced to the size of a small cubicle. Your consciousness, which has the genetic capacity to access the infinite, has been socially engineered to fit into a small box inside your brain, making it nearly impossible for you to believe that you have the power to change your life.

Yet you believe with the fervency of a religious zealot that you can see things clearly and that you are a realist. How can you possibly see things clearly and realistically from the perspective of a small cubicle? Then, believing the lies of the Matrix and the illusion that you call reality, you decide to act in extremely negative, destructive, anti-social, harmful, and illegal ways. These actions can be in the form of abusing people psychologically and physically, addictions, cheating on your spouse, violence, anger, and even suicide.

But at the core of your perceived powerlessness, frustration, rage, depression, anxiety, fear, and the illusion you are helpless is the inner belief that has locked you in the Matrix-like prison inside of your mind. The walls of this virtual prison have been constructed by your consciousness over time, built upon layer upon layer of cynicism and negativity reinforced by the media culture. Just look at the content of what is called comedy. The comedian and the comedic film or television show causes you to laugh, but leaves you more empty than before and pollutes your consciousness with cynicism, despair, negativity, and the existential lie that there is no way out….

[It]is going to take total passion and total fearlessness! You are going to have to make a definite cerebral prison break. That means you are going to have stop wearing a striped prison uniform and working in the hot sun like in a scene in the movie classic Cool Hand Luke, starring Paul Newman, when the prison warden tried to psychologically intimidate Newman and the prisoners by saying the famous words, “What we here is a failure to communicate.” The reality is there is no failure to communicate. You have already been communicated with and if you want to be free, then you are going to have to act on what you know deep down inside.

For a moment, forget about all the stuff you have been told by religious people and religion when it comes to Jesus Christ. The reality is that most churches in America would actually call the police to arrest Christ if He showed up in one of their churches today, or at the very least accuse Him of being the devil. So completely forget about religion and just think about the words of Christ when He said “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” He was giving you a major clue on how to become free of the Matrix. Do you think for a moment that Christ did not understand the nature of the Matrix? For crying out loud, Christ smashed through the multi-dimensional prison walls of the Matrix when His physical body disappeared from a prison called a tomb, surrounded by heavily armed Roman troops.

The Purpose Driven Plan To Destroy The Church

In the past ten years a large percentage of churches in America, and in other countries have changed from a traditional New Testament church model to a contemporary Purpose Driven model, many with sorrowful results.

Contrary to Purpose Driven Church propaganda, millions have been leaving their churches after the change occurred.

It is important that every church member know if their church is targeted for a Purpose Driven Church takeover. Initially, a small clique of church staff, possibly including the pastor or a new pastor, plans the change without telling the rest of the church membership.

Church Transitions, an associate of Saddleback Church in California, trains the clique initiating the change in eight published steps. The church membership is not to be informed of the transition until the fourth step. After the sixth step in the process of change, if there are some in the church who voice concerns, the following is suggested:

1. Identify those who are resisting the changes;
2. Assess the effectiveness of their opposition;
3. Befriend those who are undecided about the changes;
4. Marginalize more persistent resisters;
5. Vilify those who stay and fight; and
6. Establish new rules that will silence all resistance.

This means the church membership is not told until it is too late to make a difference. In other words, the church is stolen. Then the members either accept the changes, or leave the church, which they may have served and given to build. Dr. Rick Warren, author of “The Purpose Driven Church” and “The Purpose Driven Life” has boasted: “When you reveal the vision to the church, the old pillars are going to leave. But let them leave… they only hold things up.”

Dr. Warren is right in one way. It is the senior members of the church who do indeed hold a church up and keep it from falling into apostasy. While some PDC initiators may not implement the full PDC format, generally, these are the signs that your church is targeted for a Purpose Driven Church format:

72 Killed Resisting Gun Confiscation In Massachussetts

From PoliticalEars.com –

National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a Para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash, Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement.

Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the group’s organizers as “criminals,” issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government’s efforts to secure law and order.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that “none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.”

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists….

Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.

Should We Just Follow Orders? Rules of Engagement for Resisting the Police State

By John W. Whitehead – Speak Truth To Power –

“Let your motto be resistance! resistance! Resistance! No oppressed people have ever secured their liberty without resistance.”—Abolitionist Henry Highland Garnet

The perils of resisting the police state grow more costly with each passing day, especially if you hope to escape with your life and property intact. The thing you must remember is that we’ve entered an age of militarized police in which we’re no longer viewed as civilians but as enemy combatants.

Take, for example, Mary Elizabeth VandenBerg who was charged with disturbing the peace, a crime punishable by up to 93 days in jail and a $500 fine, for daring to vocalize her frustrations over a traffic ticket by reading a prepared statement to the court clerk and paying her $145 traffic ticket with 145 one-dollar bills. VandenBerg was also handcuffed, tasered and pepper sprayed for “passively” resisting police by repeatedly stopping and talking to them and stiffening her arms. The incident, filmed by VandenBerg’s brother, is now the subject of a lawsuit.

Zachary Noel was tasered by police and charged with resisting arrest after he questioned why he was being ordered out of his truck during a traffic stop. “Because I’m telling you to,” the officer replied before repeating his order for Noel to get out of the vehicle and then, without warning, shooting him with a taser through the open window. The encounter, recorded with a cell phone by Noel’s friend in the passenger seat, offers a particularly chilling affirmation of how little recourse Americans really have when it comes to obeying an order from a government official or police officer, even if it’s just to ask a question or assert one’s rights….

Clearly, the language of freedom is no longer the common tongue spoken by the citizenry and their government. With the government having shifted into a language of force, “we the people” have been reduced to suspects in a surveillance state, criminals in a police state, and enemy combatants in a military empire.

In such an environment, as every resistor from Martin Luther King Jr. and on down the line has learned, there is always a price to be paid for challenging the status quo. Then again, the price for not challenging the status quo is even worse: outright tyranny, the loss of our freedoms, and a totalitarian regime the likes of which the world has never seen before.
