Obama Sentenced Whistleblowers to 25 Times the Jail Time of All Prior U.S. Presidents COMBINED

Obama Is Arguably More Hostile Towards The Press Than Any President In History

The Obama administration has prosecuted more whistleblowers than all other presidents combined.

This administration has also obtained much longer jail sentences against whistleblowers than previous presidents.

ACLU legislative counsel Gabe Rottman noted last October:

The Obama administration has secured 526 months of prison time for national security leakers, versus only 24 months total jail time for everyone else since the American Revolution.

(So – as of October – Obama had thrown whistleblowers in jail for 22 times longer than all other presidents.)

Today, whistleblower Barrett Brown was sentenced to 63 months in prison.

So now we’re up to 589 months for whistleblowers. That’s 25 times more time meted out against whistleblowers by Obama than all other presidents combined.

But even that stunning figure understates the savagery of the Obama administration’s war on whistleblowers …

After all, Jeremy Hammond – regarded by many as a whistleblower – was sentenced by Obama to 10 years in prison.

The trial of CIA whistleblower Jeffrey Sterling is proceeding right now … and the prosecution is seeking a lengthy prison sentence.

If Edward Snowden or Julian Assange are ever caught, the government will seek very lengthy sentences.

And the government would have obtained lengthy prison terms for high-level NSA whistleblowers Thomas Drake and William Binney – and even “framed” them with false evidence – but they were brilliant enough to able to prove with bulletproof evidence that the government was lying.

Top mainstream reporters also say the Obama administration is more hostile to the free press – the folks who spread whistleblower leaks – than any other in history. And see this.

Indeed, Obama is treating reporters like terrorists and criminals. For example:

Law Has Been Murdered

Barrett Brown, Kathy Kelly, and Bonny Mahoney are the kind of people who are imprisoned in America. It is not the perjurers and liars, the torturers, war criminals and mass murderers. It is the good people who peacefully protest the crimes of those who control the US government and its policies.

Since around 1990 I have studied and reported on cases that have resulted in the erosion of the protective features in law that made law a shield of the people instead of a weapon in the hands of the government. Barrett Brown’s statement to the Judge in his show trial shows that the US Department of Justice has been successful in preventing the system from delivering any justice. The US Court system delivers support for the government’s crimes. That’s it.

Brown’s statement shows how the system works. The government brings false charges against you or they bring charges that are not illegal under law as understood. However, prosecutors invent new interpretations of laws and judges and juries accept legislation-by-prosecutor-to-fit-the-made-up-case. Almost never is a jury involved, not that jurors show any inclination to go against the government’s case. However, prosecutors only face that unlikely risk in 3 or 4 percent of the cases. All other cases are settled on the basis of self-incrimination. The prosecutor tells the defendant and his attorney, “you can admit to this and that and have a sentence of 5 or 10 years. Otherwise, we are indicting you with 105 offenses with imprisonment of at least one lifetime.

Read Brown’s statement to the judge. This young man describes perfectly how the so-called “criminal justice system” actually works. I have seen it time after time in cases I have investigated. Read “The Tyranny of Good Intentions”.

Kathy Kelly and Bonny Mahoney were sentenced to prison for stepping across the perimeters of Air Force bases in peaceful protests against murder-by-drone. There was no real reason for charges to be brought against them or for a judge to sentence them to prison except to continue to make it crystal clear that the US government tolerates no dissent.

A democracy protected by free speech would permit these demonstrations, but the US is not a democracy and does not have free speech. That is the fact that Barrett Brown, Kathy Kelly and Bonny Mahoney are proving….

What Brown, Kelly, and Mahoney are in fact proving is that the US is lawless in the sense that law serves only the government and its agenda. In America law no longer has any other meaning. There is no rule of law. We are ruled by the government’s agenda.

Welcome To The Matrix: Enslaved By Technology & The Internet

If ever Americans sell their birthright, it will be for the promise of expediency and comfort delivered by way of blazingly fast Internet; cell phone signals that never drop a call; thermostats that keep us at the perfect temperature without our having to raise a finger; and entertainment that can be simultaneously streamed to our TVs, tablets, and cell phones.

Likewise, if ever we find ourselves in bondage, we will have only ourselves to blame for having forged the chains through our own lassitude, laziness, and abject reliance on internet-connected gadgets and gizmos that render us wholly irrelevant.

Indeed, while most of us are consumed with our selfies and trying to keep up with what our so-called friends are posting on Facebook, the megacorporation Google has been busily partnering with the National Security Agency (NSA), the Pentagon, and other governmental agencies to develop a new “human” species, so to speak.

In other words, Google—a neural network that approximates a global brain—is fusing with the human mind in a phenomenon that is called “singularity”; and they’ve hired transhumanist scientist Ray Kurzweil to do just that. Google will know the answer to your question before you have asked it, Kurzweil said. “It will have read every email you will ever have written, every document, every idle thought you’ve ever tapped into a search-engine box. It will know you better than your intimate partner does. Better, perhaps, than even yourself.”

But here’s the catch: the NSA and all other government agencies will also know you better than yourself. As William Binney, one of the highest-level whistleblowers to ever emerge from the NSA said, “The ultimate goal of the NSA is total population control.”

Science fiction, thus, has become fact.

We’re fast approaching Philip K. Dick’s vision of the future as depicted in the film Minority Report. There, police agencies apprehend criminals before they can commit a crime; driverless cars populate the highways; and a person’s biometrics are constantly scanned and used to track their movements, target them for advertising, and keep them under perpetual surveillance.

Cue the dawning of the Age of the Internet of Things, in which internet-connected “things” will monitor your home, your health, and your habits in order to keep your pantry stocked, your utilities regulated, and your life under control and relatively worry-free.

The key word here, however, is control.

In the not-too-distant future, “just about every device you have — and even products like chairs, that you don’t normally expect to see technology in — will be connected and talking to each other.”

By 2018, it is estimated there will be 112 million wearable devices such as smart watches, keeping users connected in real time to their phones, emails, text messages, and the Internet. By 2020, there will be 152 million cars connected to the Internet and 100 million Internet-connected bulbs and lamps. By 2022, there will be 1.1 billion smart meters installed in homes, reporting real-time usage to utility companies and other interested parties.

….I’m not suggesting we all become Luddites. However, we need to be aware of how quickly a helpful device that makes our lives easier can become a harmful weapon that enslaves us.

This was the underlying lesson of The Matrix, the Wachowski siblings’ futuristic thriller about human beings enslaved by autonomous technological beings that call the shots. As Morpheus, one of the characters in The Matrix, explains:

“The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work… when you go to church… when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.”

“What truth?” asks Neo.

Morpheus leans in closer to Neo: “That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage. Born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind.”

Former Governor of Virginia Sentenced for Corruption‏

Bob McDonnell, the former governor of Virginia who was convicted in September on corruption charges, was sentenced to 24 months in prison on Tuesday in one of the most spectacular falls of a statewide elected official in the history of the commonwealth.
Mr. McDonnell, 60, was given the sentence by Judge James R. Spencer of Federal District Court. He was found guilty of trading favors in return for $177,000 in loans, vacations and gifts from a wealthy family friend who was trying to promote his vitamin supplement business.
Mr. McDonnell, a Republican who was once considered a possible contender for the White House, initially faced the prospect of up to 20 years in prison, but The A.P. reported that Judge Spencer lowered that range to six-and-a-half to eight years during the hearing. His lawyers, citing what they described as years of good work and commitment to public service, had argued that a sentence of community service should suffice.

Victimless Crime Constitutes 86% of The Federal Prison Population

When we talk about the war on drugs, which is increasingly turning into a real war, we often overlook the fact that the “criminals” involved in the drug trade aren’t actually violating anyone’s rights. When a drug dealer is hauled before a judge, there is no victim standing behind the prosecutor claiming damages. Everyone participating in the drug trade does so voluntarily. However, there are a lot more crimes for which this is also true. Millions upon millions of Americans have been thrown into cages without a victim ever claiming damages. It is important to look at the burden this mass level of incarceration places upon our society.

In light of that, let us review some statistics which demonstrate just how destructive the mass incarceration of victimless criminals has become to our society. The 2011 federal prison population consisted of:
•Drugs 50.7%
•Public-order 35.0%,
•Violent 7.9%
•Property 5.8%
•Other .7%

Drug offenses are self-explanatory as being victimless, but so too are public-order offenses, which also fall under the victimless crimes category. Public order offenses include such things as immigration, weapons charges, public drunkenness, selling lemonade without a license, dancing in public, feeding the homeless without a permit etc..

The United States has the highest prison population rate in the world. Presently 756 per 100,000 of the national population is behind bars. This is in contrast to an average world per-capita prison population rate of 145 per 100,000 (158 per 100,000 if set against a world prison population of 10.65 million), based on 2008 U.N. population data. In other words, the U.S. incarcerates its citizens at a rate that is 5 times the world average.

In 2008, according to the Department of Justice, there were 7,308,200 persons in the US corrections system, of whom 4,270,917 were on probation, 828,169 were on parole, 785,556 were in jails, and 1,518,559 were in state and federal prisons. This means that the U.S. alone is responsible for holding roughly 15% of all the prisoners in the world.

HOW YOU CAN FIND FREEDOM FROM THE MATRIX

Whether you acknowledge it or not, your consciousness is plugged into the Matrix and the “Hive Mind.” You believe that your life is hopeless and that you are powerless to change things in your life and world. But what is your world? Your thoughts, dreams, beliefs, and identity are largely manufactured by a global media grid operated by a “World Brain,” with a computer-brain interface. What you believe is the “real you” is a synergy of social media and often subliminal messages projected into your consciousness 24/7 by a multi-dimensional broadband spectrum of images, words, music, EMF waves, and a neurological fountain of brain chemicals strategically triggered by GMO foods and their myriad chemical additives and by chemicals added to your drinking water and air.

From your very infancy to the present you are the product of stealth social engineering which has artificially suppressed your “right brain,” which has the power to enable you to see the big picture. Just like the tiny offices that many people work in, your brain and your ability to think have been artificially reduced to the size of a small cubicle. Your consciousness, which has the genetic capacity to access the infinite, has been socially engineered to fit into a small box inside your brain, making it nearly impossible for you to believe that you have the power to change your life.

Yet you believe with the fervency of a religious zealot that you can see things clearly and that you are a realist. How can you possibly see things clearly and realistically from the perspective of a small cubicle? Then, believing the lies of the Matrix and the illusion that you call reality, you decide to act in extremely negative, destructive, anti-social, harmful, and illegal ways. These actions can be in the form of abusing people psychologically and physically, addictions, cheating on your spouse, violence, anger, and even suicide.

But at the core of your perceived powerlessness, frustration, rage, depression, anxiety, fear, and the illusion you are helpless is the inner belief that has locked you in the Matrix-like prison inside of your mind. The walls of this virtual prison have been constructed by your consciousness over time, built upon layer upon layer of cynicism and negativity reinforced by the media culture. Just look at the content of what is called comedy. The comedian and the comedic film or television show causes you to laugh, but leaves you more empty than before and pollutes your consciousness with cynicism, despair, negativity, and the existential lie that there is no way out….

[It]is going to take total passion and total fearlessness! You are going to have to make a definite cerebral prison break. That means you are going to have stop wearing a striped prison uniform and working in the hot sun like in a scene in the movie classic Cool Hand Luke, starring Paul Newman, when the prison warden tried to psychologically intimidate Newman and the prisoners by saying the famous words, “What we here is a failure to communicate.” The reality is there is no failure to communicate. You have already been communicated with and if you want to be free, then you are going to have to act on what you know deep down inside.

For a moment, forget about all the stuff you have been told by religious people and religion when it comes to Jesus Christ. The reality is that most churches in America would actually call the police to arrest Christ if He showed up in one of their churches today, or at the very least accuse Him of being the devil. So completely forget about religion and just think about the words of Christ when He said “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” He was giving you a major clue on how to become free of the Matrix. Do you think for a moment that Christ did not understand the nature of the Matrix? For crying out loud, Christ smashed through the multi-dimensional prison walls of the Matrix when His physical body disappeared from a prison called a tomb, surrounded by heavily armed Roman troops.
