Baker Investigated For Refusing To Serve Anti-Gay Client

As Western Journalism has previously reported, a bakery in Oregon was investigated by state authorities – and eventually forced to close – because its Christian owners opted to refuse an order for a lesbian couple’s wedding cake.

The scrutiny grew from a complaint filed by the prospective clients and grew into a national story evoking emotions from those on both sides of the issue. Similar accusations have subsequently been levied against Christian-owned businesses throughout the country.

Recent reports indicate that the same standard used against the Oregon bakery is now being implemented by a man who wanted a Colorado business to make a cake critical of homosexuality.

When Bill Jack, who founded the group Worldview, asked Azucar Bakery to fill an order for a Bible-shaped cake featuring two men holding hands and the phrase ‘God Hates Gays,’ the shop’s owner immediately refused….

Marjorie Silva said of the work order….‘No way. We’re not doing this. This is just very discriminatory and hateful.’”

According to Jack’s complaint, however, it was the bakery – not his cake design – that revealed true discrimination.

“I believe I was discriminated against by the baker based on my creed,” he said. “As a result, I filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights division.”….

Many of those who stood up for the rights of Christian bakers to refuse a pro-gay order maintain their position that a business owner should not be forced to violate his or her personal convictions.

“This is a free speech issue,” explained Focus on the Family’s Jeff Johnston, “and we support freedom of speech.”

He went on to conclude that “this baker should not be required to create a cake with a message that goes against her conscience.”

True Population of the Sodomites & their Health Risks

The state-controlled media would have you believe there are more of these people than there are. According to a survey released this year by the National Health Interview Survey, an arm of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the sodomite community in America is far less than what we have been told in the media. Not only that, but they are at severe health risks as many of us have pointed out. Not surprisingly, sodomite leaders are not happy with this survey.

The survey titled Sexual Orientation and Health Among US Adults claims, “Based on the 2013 NHIS data, 96.6% of adults identified as straight, 1.6% identified as gay or lesbian, and 0.7% identified as bisexual. The remaining 1.1% of adults identified as “something else,” stated “I don’t know the answer,” or refused to provide an answer.”

This study has been applauded by government health officials due to the large population that was studied. In 2013, 33,557 adults between between 18-64 were questioned via telephone or sexual choices and various other things pertaining to their health such as tobacco use, medical care and vaccinations.

Here are some of the more telling results of the survey when comparing sodomites to normal people that engage in natural sexual intercourse.
26% of sodomites were current cigarette smokers compared to 18% of heterosexuals
33% of sodomites consumed five or more alcoholic drinks in 1 day in the past year compared to only 22% of heterosexuals
56% of sodomites met federal guidelines for aerobic physical activity compared to 49% of heterosexuals
67% of sodomites were tested for HIV compared to only 37% of heterosexuals
46% of sodomites received influenza vaccines during the past year compared to 41%

Additionally heterosexual women were more likely to consider themselves in either excellent or very good health compared to those that claimed they were lesbian.

However, the very small percentage that claimed to be bisexual were more prone to experience psychological distress than heterosexuals.

“This is a major step forward in trying to remedy some of these gaps in our understanding of the role sexual orientation and gender identity play in people’s health and in their lives,” said Gary J. Gates, a demographer at the Williams Institute, a research center at the University of California at Los Angeles that studies the sodomite community.

Unregistered Baptist Fellowship addresses Houston Confrontation

By Greg Dixon – The-Trumpet-Online.com –

Many think because Anise Parker, lesbian Mayor of Houston, dropped the subpoenas for the five pastors to turn in sermon transcripts, notes, e mails, etc., that the war is over. But it is just entering the second round because now the focus is pertaining to her legislation and court battle regarding a city Equal Rights Ordinance passed by the City Council last summer granting special rights to transgenders, which would include same-sex rest rooms which was what the issue was about to start with. However, Parker, being in her third term as mayor, two of them having been won by election, is a seasoned politician by now, and was willing to throw the preachers their bone, by withdrawing the subpoena’s to preserve the bigger issue which has not been lost yet from her point of view. According to both CBS and WND, even though a petition drive seems to be enough to recall the ordinance Parker’s supporters are trying to decertify many of the petitioners.

According to news reports there had been a great outcry among the pastors of Houston, including the black alliance who said that this was not a civil rights issue and the five pastors that had been attacked personally. Amid the protest, city officials at first doubled down, with Parker stating, “If the 5 pastors used pulpits for politics, their sermons are fair game.” Under a state and nation wide siege she and her attorneys then changed their wording from sermons to speeches, a move ADF legal counsel Joe La Rue said was “wholly inadequate.” Many also thought some of the five were strange targets in that they included a Vietnam pastor, and a Cuban woman, both who had fled to America from police states. Also many were wondering why no black pastors were targeted.

Even though it is only right that all pastors and Christian believers stand up for these pastors and the City of Houston in this Sodomite onslaught, in my opinion we need to keep this entire issue in the proper perspective.

The Unregistered Baptist Fellowship at their meeting on Oct. 20-22 in their resolution on behalf of the pastors made it clear that they had violated their own commitment to their 501 (c) (3) contract that they had agreed to when they voluntarily became tax exempt organizations under Title 26 of the IRS Code. Our resolution read thusly at this point:

“Be it Further Resolved that the City of Houston repeal and repudiate its so-called Equal Rights ordinance, since the Bible and natural law teaches that homosexuality is a behavioral choice, and therefore a wicked sin, as much as adultery, stealing, murder, etc. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Romans 1:26-28).

Be it Further Resolved that the pastors of Houston examine their relationship with the state and make sure it conforms to the Biblical pattern, so that First Amendment rights are not complied (with) by incorporation, 501 (c) (3) tax exemption, and that the light of God’s countenance may be fully upon them.

Therefore, the Unregistered Baptist Fellowship, in the name of the God of the Bible (KJV), hereby rebukes Mayor Annise Parker, and the officials of Houston who have joined with her, in this unjust assault upon religious liberty and freedom of speech; and we stand with these pastors who are trying to check the wicked homosexual agenda in their city.”

Another pastor wrote and put it this way, “Any church so registered has assigned their authority to the regulatory agency known as the IRS. Under the laws of incorporation, any entity registered as a 501 (non profit) is bound by that corporate law. Tragically, the majority of churches are registered.”

Even Mayor Parker understands this principle, let me repeat, she said, “If the 5 pastors used pulpits for politics, their sermons are fair game.” Why did she use this term? Do you suppose it is because she can read? If she can read then why can’t the pastor’s read? The IRC Code clearly says: “Individual Activity by Religious Leaders – The political campaign activity prohibition is not intended to restrict free expression on political matters by leaders of churches or religious organizations speaking for themselves, as individuals. Nor are leaders prohibited from speaking about important issues of public policy. However, for their organizations to remain tax exempt under IRC section 501(c) (3), religious leaders cannot make partisan comments in official organization publications or at official church functions. To avoid potential attribution of their comments outside of church functions and publications, religious leaders who speak or write in their individual capacity are encouraged to clearly indicate that their comments are personal and not intended to represent the views of the organization.

When preachers agreed to this covenant from hell years ago, they never thought that they would be so hamstrung that they wouldn’t even be able to cry out against men using the same restrooms with little girls. But God and the Devil seem to be the only one’s that know that we are in a gigantic spiritual chess game for keeps.

Where Does the Real Blame Lie?

It certainly does not lie with Pastor Aubrey Vaughan, who was the Pastor of the Unregistered Grace Baptist Church of Houston for many years on Telephone Rd which was what they called “Hell Street.” He fought the Devil and his crowd tooth and nail for over thirty years including the IRS who he whipped all the way back to Washington, D.C. Annise wouldn’t be the mayor of Houston if the pastor’s had followed his advice. But they didn’t. He was too radical for their smooth sermons. He was the lone voice when he stood against benefits for homosexuals, but the pastors wouldn’t stand with him then.

A lesbian is mayor of Houston because of Joel Osteen and his multi-thousand congregation, Ed Young and his mega Second Baptist Church, Mega Ist Baptist, and all of the other huge mega churches in Houston, sitting there raking in their millions while Houston goes to hell. Those preachers said not a word while Parker was running for office. And then in the final analysis it was the so called “Christians” of Houston who stayed home on election day, reading their little devotional and self-improvement books that they bought at the “Christian” book stores instead of going to the polls and voting against this wicked mayor and her cohorts.

By the way, that’s also the reason that we have the present resident of the White House.

Christian Bakers Who Lost Shop Refusing to Make a Wedding Cake for a Lesbian Couple Are in for a Major Surprise

By Billy Hallowell – TheBlaze.com –

Aaron and Melissa Klein, the Christian bakers who gained national attention after they refused to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple, are in for a big surprise: a gay man who fervently disagrees with their stance on homosexuality is planning to willingly give them a large sum of money.

The Kleins, who have spoken with TheBlaze in the past about their legal woes since refusing to make the cake back in January 2013 and the subsequent loss of their shop, are reportedly facing a potential $150,000 fine — a fine that they say could bankrupt them.

But Matt Stolhandske, a board member of Evangelicals for Marriage Equality, a coalition of Christians who support same-sex marriage, recently launched an online campaign to raise money for the Klein family, despite his opposition to their views.

“As a gay man, I should hate Melissa and Aaron Klein,” Stolhandske wrote in a recent Washington Post op-ed. “I’m also an evangelical Christian. I can’t understand why Klein or any other Christians twist the words of Jesus Christ to justify this behavior. To me, it’s a deeply harmful and embarrassing bastardization of our faith.”

But he went on to write that, as a Christian, he believes that he’s called to love even those with whom he disagrees, so he’s raising the funds so that the Kleins and their five children won’t suffer under the weight of the potentially massive fine.

Stolhandske said he’s planning to send whatever money he raises in a crowdfunding campaign to the bakers in an effort to keep them from going bankrupt and to show them good faith and love….

‘You Don’t Hate Us!’ Lesbian Learns Christians ‘Really Do Care’ By Sharing Gospel

By Heather Clark – Christian News Net –

CHICAGO – A Christian columnist, cultural analyst and attorney specializing in constitutional law recently shared a story about about how a lesbian’s eyes were opened to the fact that Christians are motivated by love and not hate to share the gospel with homosexuals.

Matt Barber, the founder of BarbWire.com, recalled the incident in an article published by Charisma News last Monday. He stated that in 2009, as he was the keynote speaker at a banquet in Chicago for the organization American for Truth About Homosexuality, a number of homosexual protesters stood outside, angered by the event.

One woman that was present at the banquet claimed to be with the press, but it was soon discovered that she was actually among the protesters. Rather than ejecting her from the building, Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, invited her to stay.

“This young woman, who identified as a lesbian, sat at a table with some of the most loving and godly women I know,” Barber recalled. “They showed her the love of Christ.”

The women shared the word of God with the girl, who also listened to Barber’s message shared from the podium during the event.

“After I gave my remarks, this young lady . . . rushed over to me with tears in her eyes,” Barber remembered. “‘They lied!’ she exclaimed of the protest organizers outside. ‘You don’t hate us. You don’t hate me. You really do care.’”

City of Houston Demands Pastors Turn Over Sermons

By Todd Starnes – Tea Party Patriot News –

The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.

“The city’s subpoena of sermons and other pastoral communications is both needless and unprecedented,” Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Christina Holcomb said in a statement. “The city council and its attorneys are engaging in an inquisition designed to stifle any critique of its actions.”

ADF, a nationally-known law firm specializing in religious liberty cases, is representing five Houston pastors. They filed a motion in Harris County court to stop the subpoenas arguing they are “overbroad, unduly burdensome, harassing, and vexatious.”

“Political and social commentary is not a crime,” Holcomb said. “It is protected by the First Amendment.”….

Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council, said pastors around the nation should rally around the Houston ministers.

“The state is breaching the wall of separation between church and state,” Perkins told me. ‘Pastors need to step forward and challenge this across the country. I’d like to see literally thousands of pastors after they read this story begin to challenge government authorities – to dare them to come into their churches and demand their sermons.”

….The pastors I(Starnes)spoke to tell me they will not comply with the subpoena – putting them at risk for a “fine or confinement, or both.”

Heaven forbid that should happen. But if it does, Christians across America should be willing to descend en masse upon Houston and join these brave men of God behind bars.

Pastor Welch compared the culture war skirmish to the 1836 Battle of San Jacinto, fought in present-day Harris County, Texas. It was a decisive battle of the Texas Revolution….
