Know Jesus or No Jesus? The Coming Persecution of Christians

By Dave Hodges – DCClothesline.com –

There is a war going on against Christians. For a long time the war has been covert and centered around issues such as nativity scenes at Christmas. More recently, the satanic influence which is beginning to dominate American public lives is becoming demonstrably open and aggressive and this spirit has invaded the sports world where so many young people look for role models…

We are witnessing the persecution of Christians through the principle of incrementalism. Hitler did the same. First, there was the public chastising of the Jews. Then they were denied employment and the right to publicly practice their religion. The worst began to happen.

Today in the United States, the abolishment of Christianity is underway. Through the DHS sponsored Clergy Response Team and making churches into IRS controlled tax exempt foundations, the message from the pulpit is being controlled. Now we are witnessing the marginalizing of Christians and the removal Christian practices from all public venues. Christian traditions are being erased. A famous quote was offered which helps frame these current events of persecution against Christians “wherever they burn books, in the end, they will burn human beings”. I would offer a variation of this theme, “where they erase religion, they will soon do the same to the followers of that religion”.

Any first year law school student will tell you that the 10 Commandments are the basis for our legal code. This is all about to change as well.

HOW ARE CHURCHES FAILING AMERICA

By Roger Anghis – NewsWithViews.com –

I have listened over the years to many different preachers. I spent years looking for one that would preach the real Word of God. It took years to find one and then…

Those of you who follow my columns know that I just finished a 52 instalment on Pastors from the Founding era and the political sermons they preached. They were not afraid to get in a politicians face and remind him that they were instruments of God. Those pastors would always let a politician know if he was out of line. In 1954 there was an amendment to an IRS bill that took the church out of the political arena, sort of. I say sort of because up until that time a pastor could endorse a candidate or party or oppose a candidate or party. In other words, a pastor could name names and shame the devil. But that bill, called the Johnson Gag Order, took many of the churches out of the political arena. In reality they could still do what they had been doing they just had to do it in a different way. They could name a candidate and compare his views to biblical views but that was as far as he could go. That bill is a violation of a preachers 1st Amendment rights and a restriction on what he is mandated by God to do, inform the public. A preacher had never in the history of America been bridled in such a manner in such an important area of public life. Our Founders depended on the preachers to keep the masses educated on political matters. They were preached from the pulpit every Sunday. Today’s preachers do very little if any of that. They have been so accustomed to being bridled that they don’t even complain. Our pulpits have failed us.

Over the last 60 years since the passing of that bill the influence of the church has been slowly removed from politics. The churches don’t raise up strong men and women to run for political office any more….

California charter school removes Christian books from library

By Dr. Eowyn – DCClothesline.com –

Springs Charter Schools, aka River Springs Charter School, is a charter school in the city of Temecula, Riverside County, southern California.

On its “About Us: Vision & Mission” page, Springs Charter Schools describes itself as “created and is operated by parents” and that “We value Parent choice and involvement, Using the community as the classroom, Fostering a child’s innate creativity, Collaborating to achieve goals, Building relationships, and Personalizing learning.”

What the page leaves out is that Springs Charter Schools also values CENSORSHIP and ANTI-CHRISTIANITY.

Pacific Justice Institute (PJI), a conservative legal defense organization in California, is sounding the alert that Springs Charter Schools is violating the First Amendment by removing library books based on their perceived Christian content.

In an email, PJI states:

A parent of students enrolled at Springs Charter Schools was recently shocked to see some of the books being targeted for removal, including the well-known account of Holocaust survivor Corrie ten Boom, The Hiding Place. The parent contacted PJI after library personnel explained to her that they had been directed to remove Christian books, books by Christian authors, and books from Christian publishers.

PJI attorney Michael Peffer sent the school a cease-and-desist letter on August 22, citing long-established Supreme Court precedent that strongly disapproves of school libraries removing books based on opposition to their content or message.

Last week, the Superintendent of Springs Charter Schools, Dr. Kathleen Hermsmeyer, ignored the precedent in PJI’s letter and instead insisted, “We . . . do not allow sectarian materials on our state-authorized lending shelves.”

PJI President Brad Dacus commented, “It is alarming that a school library would attempt to purge books from religious authors. Indeed, some of the greatest literature of Western Civilization comes from people of faith…

Are Christians Idiots?

From HigherLiberty.com –

When Christ spoke of the Kingdom there was a revolution going on in Judea and the world. The policies and practices of politicians and people had the world on a one way road to social and economic destruction. John the Baptist and Jesus were turning the world upside down. They were shaming the hypocrites who claimed to be following Moses but did not know him nor the God who sent him to free the people.

Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”…

Christians provided for one another in charity and did not participate in the free bread welfare of Rome as we see the Pharisees doing.4 The Pharisees had chosen Caesar’s ways and government as their benefactor. The Christians were not involved in the public affairs of the Pharisees. Christians were involved in public affairs of Christ working daily in the temple.5

The temple in Jerusalem, the same as those of Rome, was the center of their social welfare. With the baptism of John, Christ’s followers, who were eventually called Christians, had opted out of a social welfare system that had snared the people under the authority of Herod’s welfare state.6 Christians had another king, one Jesus, and were standing fast in the liberty of Christ. The persecution of Christians by public magistrates was often based on their refusal to participate in the temple welfare systems of Rome.

The word translated marvelled in Acts is “thaumazo” which is also translated in the Bible as “have in admiration” and “admire.” They were impressed and yet they did not like what they were hearing. Many modern Christians would not want to hear the truth of what the early church was doing either.

Public Universities Under Attack By Atheists For Allowing Christianity…

By Russ Jones – OneNewsNow.com –

The Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation claims both the University of Mississippi and Clemson inappropriately use school resources to promote Christianity. Mississippi State is also a target.

Steve McConkey, president of a sports ministry called 4 Winds, says FRRF is on a mission to “attack all Christian activity” if it appears faith and government are mixing.

“This is a group that needs to be prayed against,” McConkey says of the atheist group. “And if enough people stand up, they can be stopped.”

FCA Mississippi newspaper The Clarion-Ledger reported that FFRF is demanding extensive information about Ole Miss and its affiliation with John Powell, the chaplain for the football team, including email communications, Powell’s travel records with the team, and a list of religious services conducted by Powell.

McConkey points out that Powell is employed by the non-profit Fellowship of Christian Athletes, not the university.

“They’re very much aware that he’s with Fellowship of Christian Athletes,” McConkey says of the chaplain and the atheists attacking him.

Who Killed the American Family?

By Phyllis Schlafly – Eagle Forum –

The British press just reported the result of a new study by academics from Oxford and the University of London that children raised in stable marital homes are better behaved than classmates brought up by unmarried parents. Children raised by married parents show lower levels of anti-social attitudes and hyperactivity.

Recent U.S. surveys show that the U.S. taxpayers’ money appropriated to “close the gap” between higher-achieving and lower-achieving students has failed to achieve this goal. Contrary to conventional wisdom, poverty is not the principal cause of the gap, but whether or not children grow up in a family with their own mom and pop compared to kids who lack that advantage.

Many groups had a motive for wanting to abolish the American nuclear family. The feminists’ rallying cry from the start was “liberation,” and they meant liberation from husband, family, and care for children because, they said, taking care of small children is a demeaning occupation for an educated woman.

In the 1970s it became popular to say that the “village” should raise the child. The liberal establishment defines “village” to include all sorts of government busybodies such as public school officials, hired consultants, psychologists, custody evaluators, women’s studies courses, and especially family court judges.

The New York Times reported that judges routinely decide where the children of divorced parents may attend school and even attend church, whether they may be homeschooled, what medical care they may receive, and even whether they play soccer or take piano lessons. The system of having family court judges make decisions about the raising of children has become so universal that, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, Family Court judges now control the private living arrangements of 46 million Americans and have the power to transfer $40 billion between households.

Scientist Claims Quantum Theory Proves Consciousness Moves To Another Universe At Death

From EarthWeAreOne.com –

A book titled “Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness Are the Keys to Understanding the Nature of the Universe“ has stirred up the Internet, because it contained a notion that life does not end when the body dies, and it can last forever. The author of this publication, scientist Dr. Robert Lanza who was voted the 3rd most important scientist alive by the NY Times, has no doubts that this is possible.

Beyond time and space

Lanza is an expert in regenerative medicine and scientific director of Advanced Cell Technology Company. Before he has been known for his extensive research which dealt with stem cells, he was also famous for several successful experiments on cloning endangered animal species.

But not so long ago, the scientist became involved with physics, quantum mechanics and astrophysics. This explosive mixture has given birth to the new theory of biocentrism, which the professor has been preaching ever since. Biocentrism teaches that life and consciousness are fundamental to the universe. It is consciousness that creates the material universe, not the other way around.

Lanza points to the structure of the universe itself, and that the laws, forces, and constants of the universe appear to be fine-tuned for life, implying intelligence existed prior to matter. He also claims that space and time are not objects or things, but rather tools of our animal understanding. Lanza says that we carry space and time around with us “like turtles with shells.” meaning that when the shell comes off (space and time), we still exist.

The theory implies that death of consciousness simply does not exist. It only exists as a thought because people identify themselves with their body. They believe that the body is going to perish, sooner or later, thinking their consciousness will disappear too. If the body generates consciousness, then consciousness dies when the body dies. But if the body receives consciousness in the same way that a cable box receives satellite signals, then of course consciousness does not end at the death of the physical vehicle. In fact, consciousness exists outside of constraints of time and space. It is able to be anywhere: in the human body and outside of it. In other words, it is non-local in the same sense that quantum objects are non-local.

Georgia Guidestones: Missing Cornerstone Now In Place!

From Crashcade.com –

How was this corner stone put in place without anyone noticing?

Upon further investigation, it seems this corner stone was left out for a particular reason…. (see photo)

THE MESSAGE OF THE GEORGIA GUIDESTONES

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

2. Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity.

3. Unite humanity with a living new language.

4. Rule passion – faith – tradition – and all things with tempered reason.

5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.

7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.

8. Balance personal rights with social duties.

9. Prize truth – beauty – love – seeking harmony with the infinite.

10. Be not a cancer on the earth – Leave room for nature – Leave room for nature.

Limiting the population of the earth to 500 million will require the extermination of nine-tenths of the world’s people. The American Stonehenge’s reference to establishing a world court foreshadows the current move to create an International Criminal Court and a world government. The Guidestones’ emphasis on preserving nature anticipates the environmental movement of the 1990s, and the reference to “seeking harmony with the infinite” reflects the current effort to replace Judeo-Christian beliefs with a new spirituality.

The message of the American Stonehenge also foreshadowed the current drive for Sustainable Development. Any time you hear the phrase “Sustainable Development” used, you should substitute the term “socialism” to be able to understand what is intended.

How To Kill Goyim And Influence People: Life And Loathing In Greater Israel

By Max Blumenthal –

Upon its publication in 2009, Torat Ha’Melech sparked a national uproar. The controversy began when the Israeli paper, Maariv, panned the book’s contents as “230 pages on the laws concerning the killing of non-Jews, a kind of guidebook for anyone who ponders the question of if and when it is permissible to take the life of a non-Jew.” The description was absolutely accurate.

According to the authors, Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira and Rabbi Yosef Elitzur, non-Jews are “uncompassionate by nature” and may have been killed in order to “curb their evil inclinations.” “If we kill a gentile who has violated one of the seven commandments [of Noah] . . . there is nothing wrong with the murder,” Shapira and Elitzur insisted. Citing Jewish law as his source (or at least a very selective interpretation of it) he declared, “There is justification for killing babies if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us, and in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately, and not only during combat with adults.”

Torat Ha’Melech was written as a guide for soldiers and army officers seeking rabbinical guidance on the rules of engagement. Drawing from a hodgepodge of rabbinical texts that seemed to support their genocidal views, Shapira and Elitzur urged a policy of ruthlessness toward non-Jews, insisting that the commandment against murder “refers only to a Jew who kills a Jew, and not to a Jew who kills a gentile, even if that gentile is one of the righteous among the nations.”

The rabbis went on to pronounce all civilians of the enemy population “rodef,”or villains….

Saudi Arabia’s Islamic Police Arrest 28 Christians For Praying Privately

By Pamela Gellar – DCClothesline.com –

Dozens of Christians arrested at a prayer meeting in Saudi Arabia need America’s help, according to a key lawmaker who is pressing the State Department on their behalf.

Some 28 people were rounded up Friday by hard-line Islamists from the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the home of an Indian national in the eastern Saudi city of Khafji, and their current situation is unknown, according to human rights advocates.

“Saudi Arabia is continuing the religious cleansing that has always been its official policy,” Nina Shea, director of the Washington-based Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, told FoxNews.com. “It is the only nation state in the world with the official policy of banning all churches. This is enforced even though there are over 2 million Christian foreign workers in that country. Those victimized are typically poor, from Asian and African countries with weak governments.”

Pastors And Churches Violating First Commandment

By Pastor Chuck Baldwin – News With Views –

Pastors today who say that Jesus never challenged civil government don’t know what they are talking about. The Pharisees were as much a part of the civil government of Rome as they were a spiritual authority of Judaism. In fact, they were the direct authority of Rome over Judea. By challenging the authority of the Pharisees, Jesus was challenging the authority of Rome. The Pharisees–and everyone else–understood it. That’s what the question of the Roman penny was all about. And that’s why the Pharisees accused Jesus of being a traitor to Caesar (civil government) before Pilate. And that’s why the Pharisees hated Jesus: he dared to challenge their authority–civil and spiritual.

Jesus is the Sovereign Lord. When the Pharisees accused him of breaking the Sabbath, he reminded them that he is Lord even over the Sabbath. He proved himself to be the Lord over sickness and disease, over the wind and waves, even over death and hell. And when he challenged the authority of the Pharisees, Christ was showing that he was Lord over the lives of his people in relationship to the church AND THE STATE. Jesus said, “All power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Christ Jesus is the one true Sovereign–the ONLY one true Sovereign. And, again, this has been the foundation of Christianity for over 2,000 years.

Satanic Information Given To Children in Florida Schools

By Chris Carrington – FreedomOutpost.com –

A group called the Satanic Temple is to start distributing information about their practices and beliefs to school children in Florida.

Last month the authorities decided that they would permit the distribution of religious materials in Florida schools, and the Satanic Temple claim to be a religion so they can legally give out the pamphlets to kids.

The information will include advising the kids of their legal right to practice satanism, the philosophy of satanism and the way the Satanic Temple works.

Hindus Force Christians To Convert…

By Theodore Shoebat – Shoebat.com –

The Hindu suppression of Christians is intensifying every day. John Dayal, a member of the Indian government’s National Integration Council recently said:

There has been a sharp rise in hate campaigns against Christians by political organizations. …This threat of purging Christians from villages extends from Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to now Uttar Pradesh, and to the borders of the national capital of New Delhi

In July, 25 Hindus attacked a church in Sahakarinagar village, beating the pastor and others.

Indian village councils have abolished and outlawed Christian prayer, meetings, and evangelism illegal in 50 towns.

Aneesh Andrews, a Methodist district superintendent, said:

In some places, the passing of the resolution has been followed by attacks on pastors and pulling down of village churches

Shocking Display At NYC’s Muslim Day Parade

By Mike Opelka –

New York City’s Madison Avenue was the site of the 29th annual Muslim Day Parade on Sunday. Last year’s Muslim Day Parade sparked some controversy as the black flags of jihad were spotted along the parade route. According to reports from a couple of sources, no black flags or flags from the Islamic State were on display.

However, that does not mean the parade was without controversy.

A marching band from the NYPD and a contingent of New Jersey Girl Scouts in Muslim attire kicked off the event. The streets were filled with flag-waving marchers, pro-Islam floats and a demonstration of a hanging.

That’s right, a hanging….

Freedom From Fear At The End Of The World

By Paul McGuire – NewsWithViews.com –

In nations like Great Britain and the U.S. we are witnessing the rise of the Orwellian State, the loss of freedoms, and the loss of economic prosperity for the Middle Class in many Western-type nations across the world. The possibility of global thermonuclear war, biological plagues like the Ebola virus, food shortages, and terrorist attacks from groups like Isis provides on one level a pessimistic view of the future. Thus, in nations like the U.S., Great Britain, Japan, and other nations you see the death of optimism and skyrocketing rates of clinical depression, anxiety, panic attacks, PSTD, and suicides. Despite the plethora of new psychiatric drugs all these emotional and psychological problems are on the increase. Hopelessness, despair, and fear grip the minds of men and women across the world like a plague.

Whether you are an agnostic, an atheist, or believe in God, it is interesting to note that Jesus Christ commented on this condition that would accelerate in what the Bible calls the last days.

Christian Website Yanks Column Condemning Islam

By Doug Giles – ClashDaily.com –

The reason Cass asked me to float his column was because his column got canned by Charisma magazine’s website. They originally posted it and then pulled it because, according to an insider, it was causing Charisma to receive threats from … guess who … Muslims. So, being the typical spineless wonders the church has come to be, Charisma yanked it less they tick off the perpetually perturbed Islam.

Let me see if I understand Charisma’s editorial decision making process: Islamists cut our journalists’ heads off, slaughter Christians in mass executions, burn churches to the ground and post it on YouTube, and a “Christian” website is afraid to run a column condemning such atrocities? You’ve got to be kidding me. It’s this kind of cowardice that’ll cause us to lose our religious liberty and possibly our lives.

How The Material Dialectic Overcame Our Pulpits

By David A. McElroy –

Critics often say “successful” churches tend to resemble country clubs, and their pastors function more like corporate executives than spiritual leaders or evangelists. We see mega-churches touted as the “feel-good”, “seeker friendly” paradigm to emulate. We should ask how this has come about, and look to the Holy Bible and some reputable research.

George Barna has long been recognized as a leading researcher of Christian issues, and recently published some shocking facts at OneNewsNow.com this month. Barna says when it comes to a controversy, he found “…less than 10% of pastors who say they will speak to it.” Who will rebuke evil if our pastors will not?
Why are some 90% of pastors, reported by Barna, avoiding controversy and carefully sidestepping certain biblical issues relevant to today’s circumstances? Barna says, as many have suspected, “Controversy keeps people from being in the seats, controversy keeps people from giving money, from attending programs.” And the measure of a church’s success, as taught in seminary courses on church administration and quarterly business reports, comes down to five metrics Barna cites:
1. Attendance (number of people)
2. Giving (number of dollars)
3. Programs (number of budgeted activities)
4. Staff (number of persons on payroll)
5. Square Footage (number of facilities)

How did these corporate metrics come to overwhelm the church and supplant the drive for biblical teaching and spiritual growth in Christ? I would posit that church boards and pastors, and, yes, the seminaries, have fallen to these metrics because material things can be precisely measured, whereas spiritual matters do not lend themselves to any system of measure. Spiritual growth is a personal matter science is not equipped to measure. And business practices demand the numbers, precise measures, statistical data. Church boards are dominated by businessmen serving as deacons, pastors, or elders, and most prominent givers are also the business people who do the math and demand accountability. But what would Jesus do?

I recall Christ let Judas handle the money in his ministry, and we know how he wound up!

Jesus always said it was his mission to do the will of his Father in Heaven. What did the Lord God Almighty say about doing things by the numbers? Read I Chronicles 21:1-8, where it begins: “And Satan provoked David to number Israel…” God expressly forbade King David from numbering his people to know the strength of Israel. God wanted the king to trust God’s strength rather the number of his troops, but David wanted that statistical information and numbered them anyway. Statistics are the measure of the state, and most statisticians are employed by governments. Do we trust God, or the numbers?

Churches, through the science of mathematics employed in business administration, have followed the state’s corporate model in doing everything by the numbers.

Speaking of the five “successful church” metrics Barna lists, he says “Now all of those things are good measures, except for one tiny fact: Jesus didn’t die for any of them.” And I would note that the fruits of the spirit are not among those five measures. Christ died to save souls that they might have eternal life abundantly in spiritual growth. Christ gave the Great Commission for our souls’ salvation and spiritual growth, not numbers in business ledgers or impressive stacks of brick and mortar with stained glass windows! He did not die so men with Texas-sized egos could prance on TV begging for money!

Why do things by the numbers? Fear of loss, the quest for material gain. What does the epistle of Paul to the Philippians say about this in 3:7-8 ? Paul wrote: “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.” What are we willing to lose for Christ? Are you willing, as Christ bids, to take up your cross and follow him to the bloody end? Or is a cushy pew in an air-conditioned atmosphere of non-controversial happy talk saturated with coffee and donuts your priority? What is your church board or pastor willing to risk following Christ? What loss will you bear for Jesus? Would you face beheading for the Lord Jesus like our brothers and sisters in Iraq? Why are we in prosperous churches risking nothing to rescue them?

We are called to battle evil as Christian soldiers clad in the full armor of God as we read in Ephesians 6:10-20. Christianity is not a spectator sport or a life of leisure. When Christ sent his disciples out as his emissaries, we read in Mark 6:8 that he “…commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only: no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse.” Today, ministers expect a generous salary, a nice office, a comfy house, and a church vehicle… perhaps even a plush Gulfstream jet!

Chuck Baldwin, a prominent non-denominational Baptist pastor, expounded upon Barna’s research in his New Research: Pastors Deliberately Keeping Flock In The Dark , which was published in News With Views online. Baldwin is among the proponents of the unregistered church movement, refusing the 501(c)(3) tax exemption Uncle Sam grants through the Internal Revenue Service. The primary issue is that the federal statute for that monetary consideration requires the church to obey and conform to all federal laws and policies, surrendering the headship of Christ to Uncle Sam. True Christians know Christ is the head of the church and will never surrender his Lordship. The Apostle Paul suffered execution in Rome because he refused to say Caesar was his god.

Jesus Christ said , “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s…” in Mark 12:17. Do you even know the difference? Have you or your church been sucked into Caesar’s game of numbers, the trap of mammon? Who is referenced in the motto on our coins that says “In God We Trust”? Which “God”? Do you know the meaning of that pyramid on the back of your dollar bills? Look it up. Could you perhaps do with less of Caesar’s currency and move to an alternative means of exchange? Will you submit to the “cashless society” and accept the Mark of the Beast ? It is coming!

Military chaplains are forbidden to pray in Jesus’ name or display a cross in the chapels, Gideon Bibles are prohibited in military hotels, and the Ten Commandments are not to be seen on public property. The Bible, Jesus, and prayer are forbidden in public schools. And the pulpits are largely silent on these and other issues. Alcohol, adultery, Freemasonry, pornography, homosexuality, abortion, class war, and other things are overlooked in “not wanting to offend” with talk of sin. Hell is not a pleasant subject! The pews and collection plates must be filled, the church must be, like Disneyland, “the happiest place on Earth”!

Now “President Obama has issued an executive order that requires Christians , Christian groups, and Christian ministries to have no management restriction on transgendered or homosexual lifestyles in their organizations,” reports the election forum.org August 11th.

The order applies to all organizations benefiting from federal funding, like financial aid to Christian college students and religious social service ministries. The forum article said “The president now has ordered that the only way a Christian or Christian group can work with the US government is to deny their Christian beliefs and values.” Indeed!

Soon the five corporate metrics for the “successful church” will bring us to where we find communist China’s state approved churches: large impressive bodies constrained by the metrics of the material dialectic offering a watered-down partial gospel, speaking of God but denying the power thereof as they prostrate themselves before Mammon, Molech, and Lucifer!

Onward Christian soldiers, the battle is joined! Forget about the numbers. Trust God!

By David McElroy
